| 10/05/2005 | Scott Holmes is an Acquisitions Specialist in the Direct Investment Group, responsible for sourcing, negotiating and underwriting investment opportunities. Working out of AEW?s Los Angeles office, Scott specializes in West Coast office, industrial and retail core property investments. Scott has over twelve years of real estate experience. Prior to joining AEW in 2004, Scott spent over six years at American as the Director of Acquisitions. While at American, Scott was responsible for the identification and implementation of acquisition strategies for American?s clients, as well as the underwriting, due diligence and acquisition of all new private equity investments. Prior to joining American, Scott worked for LaSalle Partners, where he was responsible for the facility management, strategic occupancy planning and real estate needs for a major institutional client. Before working for LaSalle Partners, Scott worked as an asset manager/property manager for Shuwa Investments Corporation, a Japanese owner and manager of a portfolio of Class-A office and industrial properties throughout the United States and Europe. Scott earned a BS from San Diego State University, majoring in Real Estate Investment and Finance and minoring in Japanese language and culture. He received his MBA in Finance and Management from Pepperdine University. Scott is a licensed real estate broker in the state of California.
