| 10/05/2005 | Pamela J. Herbst heads AEW?s Direct Investment Group, one of AEW?s three business lines, overseeing the management of approximately $6.9 billion of gross assets under management. With 25 years of direct real estate experience, Pam is a Principal of the firm, and a member of the firm?s Management Committee, Investment Committee and Investment Policy Group. Since joining the firm in 1982, Pam has held various senior level positions in investment management, acquisitions and corporate operations. In addition to holding a number of industry certifications, Pam is on the Board of Directors and former Chair of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM). She is also a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks (NAIOP) and is a Jurist on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Awards for Excellence Committee and an active member of ULI. Pam is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (B.A.) and Boston University (M.B.A.). -- pwitham
