David Godbout, Partner, is a Senior Investment Officer of Junius Real Estate Partners. He has over 26 years of experience and serves on Junius’ Investment Committee. David is responsible for the investment activities, execution and management of the Junius strategy. Prior to his current position, David was the Managing Partner at Ceres Realty Fund, a real estate investment vehicle for high net worth and family office investors, where he led all investment, asset management and disposition decisions for the fund. Previously, David established an acquisition and asset management platform for the JER Company to acquire distressed assets from financial institutions, the FDIC and the RTC on behalf of leading investment banks. Early in his career, David led a team assembled to resolve troubled assets for the Bank of New England, FDIC and its transition to Fleet Financial Group. He was responsible for developing strategies to maximize asset values/recoveries and built national asset management teams to implement the plan. He personally managed a $500 million workout portfolio of complex nonperforming assets and real estate loans. He has executed real estate transactions totaling more than $2.5 billion on behalf of investment banks, corporate investors, public pension plans, endowment funds, private trusts and high net worth individuals. David holds a B.S.B.A. from Boston University’s School of Management.
